KISS to Perform on American Idol?

I started hearing a rumor about KISS playing on tonight's American Idol finale. After a little digging, I found a couple of sources to back up the rumor.

I want to state this is Only a rumor and nothing has been confirmed.

A Washington Post blog as the story that both KISS and David Bowie may appear on tonight's last Performance episode (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/postrock/2009/05/idol_gets_kiss-ed_pearl_jam_to.html).
