Gene Simmons and crew coming to give Brandon a KISS
(from brandonsun.com) It looks like Brandon might be getting another large rock show. A list of concert dates posted to KISS frontman Gene Simmons' website includes Brandon as a July 18 stop.
KISS will also be playing in Estevan the night before they come to Brandon. The band will then head to the Cabott, Wisc., Rock Fest before returning to play one more Manitoba gig, in Winnipeg, on July 22.
There's no confirmation of the date; although the list links to the official KISS website, that site doesn't show tour dates past June.
Simmons' website doesn't say where KISS may be playing in Brandon, although Westman Place at the Keystone Centre has recently hosted the Tragically Hip and an upcoming Heart show there is 75 per cent sold out.
The Brandon Sun has learned that another major act may also be coming to Brandon this summer.
KISS is known as much for band members' black-and-white face paint and their flamboyant stage costumes as for their string of rock hits through the 1970s and '80s.
