KISS legend Ace Frehley to rock Townsville’s Civic Centre
(from townsvillebulletin.com.au) The rocker will play at the Townsville Civic Centre tonight, and will celebrate his 64th birthday on Monday.
“If anyone told me I couldn’t dance I would tell them to jump in the lake,” he said, with a few added expletives.
“You are only as old as you feel. I feel like a kid on stage. I’ve been sober eight years and I feel younger on stage now than I did 10 years ago.
“Age is in the mind. A couple of facelifts don’t hurt.”
Frehley kicks off his Australia and New Zealand tour in Townsville tonight, and it is the first time the rocker has played in the city.
“I like it here,” he said. “We can rehearse here, the climate is great, we can hang out at the casino.
“This is a show we just threw together so we could really warm up.”
It is the first time Frehley has toured Australia in five years, and the show will include some of the biggest KISS hits and songs from his 2014 album, Space Invader.
