Paul & Gene Give Rocker Salutes at Their Rock & Brews Restaurant in Paia
SALUTE TO VETS . . . Veteran’s Day will be celebrated on Saturday with deals for the military. But Maui seems to be jumping with events throughout November for the rest of us, too.
At Rock & Brews in Paia, those with a veteran’s, military or first responders’ ID will receive one complimentary meal on Saturday. Your options are a pulled-pork sandwich, chicken Caesar salad, backstage burger or two-topping pizza.
“We often forget that freedom is only free for those who don’t have to sacrifice to make it possible,” say KISS frontmen and Rock & Brews cofounders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons in a joint statement. “At Rock & Brews, November 11 is a special day — and we will show our gratitude and support for the women and the men who have or continue to put their lives on the line for our country.”
At Maui Ocean Center in Maalaea, U.S. military with valid ID will get discounted admission and a special pin. Do check out the Seascape Restaurant for fab meals and harbor views. By the way, the center segued from plastic straws to eco-friendly paper straws last month.
